History of Staré Sedlo
The first written records of the village Staré Sedlo are from the year 1115. Baroque style Church of The Assumption of Our Lady can't hide its Gothic origin. Noteworthy building with a mysterious vault of the family Švamberk dates from around the year 1330. Poet and humanist Theobaldus lived here at theend of the 16th century. For over three hundred years the stone statue of St. Jan is standing quietly on the bridge. Written record of the village Racov dates as early as the middle of the 13th century. Simple Gothic style chapel of St. Martin is the fitting setting for a Czech tombstone frorn the year 1520.
